For now, the mantra from all sides is that tourists have to feel ‘confident’ (just as citizens themselves have had to feel confident about returning their children to creches/ schools/ returning to work themselves/ going to restaurants, etc.).

Vi fraråder alle ikke-nødvendige rejser til hele verden, herunder Portugal. Det gør vi, fordi mange lande i øjeblikket indfører omfattende restriktioner med kort varsel for at forebygge smittespredning med coronavirus/COVID-19. Restriktioner omfatter i flere lande ind- og udrejserestriktioner, udgangsforbud o. lign.

I thought both Denmark and Portugal were among the positive Covid countries. That things are improving in both countries…
And I thought that EU had European Tourism as a priority.
In our opinion – as travelers, residents, business people and human beings – Portugal is the best summer destination in Europe right now – in all ways. And our hotel is more than ready to welcome Danes – like most other places in Portugal.
But that doesn’t help when Denmark’s official Travel Recommendation for Portugal is: Stay Away… The same as the official recommendation for Russia, actually for ALL countries.
We don’t understand this… same with the Danish companies that cancel their business trip because of the official policy. They don’t understand it either.
