Tings Lisbon - before

This is how Tings Lisbon looks – for a few more weeks.

This is the best news we have shared for a very long time

On 16 August we start renovating our fantastic house in Rua da Senhora do Monte.

This post is written on the plane from Lisbon to Copenhagen where we are going to spend a few days with family and friends. A trip that has been planned for 6 months.

First we thought it would be very inconvenient with the reconstruction starting up only 4 days after our return to Graca. But then – there is really not much we can do, that we haven’t already done.

So now we look at our trip as a well deserved break between the previous 12 months and a new beginning. The last year has been very hard and very frustrating: Coming from a so called developing country like Nepal we had hoped that things would be a little easier, now that we had decided to do business in a western EU country – and one of the happening countries.

But that has not been the case… so far it has been more difficult starting up Tings Lisbon compared to Tings Kathmandu.

That will hopefully change for the better 🙂

Have a look at the drawings 🙂

We return to Lisbon on the August 11 to a new phase of our project.

Now we have a deadline. Tings Lisbon will open in May 2017 – so we will be busy promoting the place, getting staff, making the menu for Tings Lounge, the interior design, making plans for our exhibitions and other culture projects… (so it will be a great help if you help us spreading the words)

Can’t wait to get started.

Lots of love & compassion from Copenhagen

Annette & Thomas
