The best way to stay fit in Lisbon is just outside your hotel: Open the door and run

If you don’t like swimming or don’t have swimming trouses, goggles and a cap (a must) running is an easy solution to stay fit in Lisbon
A couple of times (or more) runs up and down from Miradouro da Senhora do Monte to Martim Moniz should be sufficient most travellers. This route is also one of the five Scenic Running Routes Culture Trip recommends in Lisbon.
Anyone who has walked through Lisbon’s maze of narrow, cobblestone streets knows that these are not the most ideal spots for getting in long runs.
Luckily, the city has a few scenic and open routes where an avid runner can really stretch his/her legs. One of the most popular and obvious is along the Rio Tejo (known as the Tagus River in English).
