Get a digital version of Lisbon art & culture guide for July with lots of Jazz

The Agenda Cultura Lisboa guide is in all our rooms.

Agenda Cultural Lisboa 2018 Juny.jpgAgenda Cultura Lisboa publish a very useful monthly magazine with enough parties, exhibitions, conferences, concerts, festivals, fashion shows, theater performances etc. to satisfy even the most hard-core art & culture travelers.

You find the magazine in the best bars, restaurants and cafes and in your room if you stay with us. Along with selected flyers, postcards and flyers.

That’s the way most events are marketed here in Lisbon.

As all us culture travelers know – we need the information before we arrive. We want to research, listen to the band, check the artists back ground, buy tickets etc.

It’s so annoying sitting with a cup of coffee in the nearest bar reading about something you really want to check out only to find out that you’re too late, the event is sold out or that you have already made other appointments.

But don’t worry – The Agenda Cultura Lisboa exists as a very good and readable e-zine version.

Thomas’ recommendations for July

Its Summer Holiday!

When the kids finish their exams and end the year families all over Europe go on their well deserved summer holidays.

Whether you stay at home or you go travelling one thing is for sure – you spend most of the days with families and/or friends relaxing and doing things you usually don’t do the rest of the year. If possible at the beach during the day. And preferable outdoor during the evenings attending the free events you find in July and August in most big cities all over Europe.

With its proximity to some of the best beaches in the world AND its cornucopia of music and culture events in all genres for all ages and in the most beautiful settings one can ask for Lisbon may bet Europe’s best holiday destination for families.

I have spent the last days going through Agenda Cultura Lisboa’s July program. Its amazing and very hard to choose from.

To compensate for my absence from my darling Copenhagen International Jazzfestival that kicks off coming weekend I have decided to make July my Jazz month in Lisbon  with the following concerts in my calendar:

If you don’t like Jazz – Don’t Panick. There are LOTS of other events – have a look in the July Program below and choose for yourself.

But remember Frank Zappa’s vice words: Jazz is Not dead – It Just Smells Funny

See you out there,

Thomas
