Let me be honest. When El Liot suggested us to do wine tastings at Tings I was a bit sceptical. Unlike him I come from a beer country where we drink beer. We love playing with food. Our part of the tasting is to pair the wines with delicious tastings which was our main reason us to join the project. When we got the feedback to our first menu suggestion with comments like too acid and something and more sweet I was almost telling them to go to H***
But being the kind and patient person I am took their stupid input as a challenge and came with new suggestions… This was going to be a one off event!
The wintasting was a big success. Not only did we sell out all the tickets – from what I was told (Annette and I was in the Kitchen) the guests asked what wines we would serve at our next tasting!!!???.
My deepest respect to El Liot and Sylvain. I was 100% wrong – the wine tasting was a huge success – so now I preparing the bites for our second Tasting at Tings which I’m looking forward to.

The Lança family has produced wines since 1920 where Ernesto dos Santos Lança bought Herdade Grande.
In 1997 Herdade Grande started bottling it’s own wines. Today they sell between 350,000 – 4000,000 bottles of red and white wines under the The Herdade Grande brand
