Is it a Moroccan Queen that found her way to this room?
Morocco is only a few hours away. So inspired by the design of the bathroom we went there and shopped various items and combined them with tiles and old furniture that reminds us about our many stays in Marrakesh.
Small, warm and charming – oozing of personality, coziness and a Moroccan feel - even in the attached bath room.
It doesn't get more authentic. And comfortable with its brand new comfortable bed.
The Moroccan Queen is located on the first floor in the big house. It has French doors opening up towards the garden where you can get a feel of Lisbon’s colorful rooftops behind the fruit trees.
The Red Dancer is a painting by French painter Sylvie Adaoust. We discovered it in February 2017 on a wall in Principe Real - it was hanging on the wall - probably one of Lisbon’s many street art works. It wasn't glued properly to the wall - it was almost falling off. So either Thomas took it or someone else would. Now it's framed and dances on the wall next to the bed of the Moroccan Queen.
Maybe she is a Moroccan Queen?
We don’t know Sylvie Adaoust - and it was only recently we found her online - thanks to Google Image search that recognized the style and guided us to her website :-)
On the few occasions when the heat from Sahara hits Lisbon the Air Conditioner cools you down. And warms you up if the winter gets too cold. It's of course included in the price, like our homemade and plentiful breakfast.
