The Best Lemons in town are outside your room.

Wake up to the refreshing citrus fragrance from the tree just outside the French doors. And after the season we serve it as a Lemon Coulis in our crepes for breakfast. 

The room is located on the 1st floor of the small house facing the garden. From the French doors you can almost reach out for these amazing fruits. Next to these doors you have a four-poster bed (160 x 200 cm) facing the beautiful art.

Christian Lemmerz’ beautiful Flower Trilogy dominates the room. The Lily symbolizes purity & innocence, The Puppy youth and the Black Rose death, loss and pain. A bizarre combination that only makes sense if you went to the event where the tragic event the Lemmerz refers to took place: Roskilde Festival 2000 where nine fans were trampled to death while Pearl Jam was performing.

If you are unfamiliar with Christian’s works, the way he combines beauty and grotesqueness may seem.. grotesque. He always does that. Like his play on Gertrude Stein’s A rose is a rose is a Black Rose …

During the tragic event we were 25.000 partying with the Underworld next door..

Besides being one of the best artists of his generation Christian is also a friend. The Trilogy's is not only beautiful - it refers to things that mean a lot to us: music & Literature.

The air conditioning will keep you warm in the winter AND cools you down if the summer gets too hot. Like our homemade breakfast it is included in the price - so is the fragrance the lemons you wake up to during the season ;-)
