Is it a Moroccan Queen that found her way to this room?
Steal away to Graça and sink into the warmth of the Moroccan Queen—a small, personality‑packed nook inspired by Marrakesh. Morocco is only a few hours away, so we went there, picked tiles, fabrics and furniture, and mixed them with older pieces that remind us of past trips. From the queen‑size bed you look through the French doors to a green pocket of garden, citrus trees and Lisbon’s colourful rooftops behind them. Cozy, warm, a bit exotic—your little oasis in the city.
“The Red Dancer” by French painter Sylvie Adaoust found her way into Moroccan Queen by chance. She was hanging, half loose, on a wall in Príncipe Real—probably meant as street art—and was about to fall off. Either we took her, or someone else would.
Now she is framed, safe and dancing beside the bed. Maybe she is Moroccan royalty after all.
Year‑round AC keeps you cool when the Sahara sends heat our way and warm when Lisbon gets a winter edge, and our homemade breakfast is always included in the price when you book directly with us. Moroccan Queen is for guests who like a bit of story and spice in their room—nothing polished, just cozy charm, local roots and a dancer on the wall.
