Red & Royal Room in Lisbon.

Lisbon's Red Lounge room crowns Graça, on to of the city’s highest hill—just a few steps from Miradouro da Senhora do Monte, one of the city’s most loved viewpoints. This room borrows its royal attitude from King João V’s lavish furniture: a carved mahogany bed (140 x 190 cm) set against deep red walls and sharp black details. Annette, our in-house designer, imagined this color-drenched hideaway where a French door frames everyday Lisbon life like a small movie screen. The spacious bathroom with its double bathtub and chill-out window couch is very Tings—simple comforts, but with personality in every corner.

Facing the royal bed, Ann Lelong’s photograph Sacred Dance bursts with color and rhythm, channeling the spiritual energy of Buddhist temple dancers. Her way with light turns movement into something almost alive—more like a moment you walked into than a picture on the wall. Our paths with Ann go back years, from her “Photo Poetry” exhibition at Tings Kathmandu to her Lisbon visit in 2024, so her work here feels like part of our ongoing art story at Tings.

Red Lounge’s air conditioning keeps you warm when Lisbon nights get chilly and cool when the summer heat rolls in. Breakfast, the view, the art, and the dancing monks’ energy in the photo—all of it is included when you stay with us.
