“ELVIS O Meu Rei do Rock” by Camilla Watson – UPDATED!
Camilla Watson shows new works at Tings Lisbon.
We’re excited to invite you to the upcoming exhibition by Camilla Watson, whom we have followed since 2009 when her first portraits of local inhabitants were printed on stones and mounted onto the alleys and streets of Mouraria and later in Alfama.
“ELVIS: O Meu Rei do Rock” is Camilla’s personal tribute to Elvis, whom she now honors in a series of iconic images from the beginning of his career up to his concerts in Las Vegas. Printed, reworked & Camillatized onto wood panels and onto rock (obvious!).

This project has been a joyful diversion, and a way to marry my favourite musical icon with my passion and creativity.
Being a long-time fan myself, I recognize Camilla’s passion.
My creativity isn’t as big as my passion. But I’ll do my best by filling the space with his music and serving snacks and drinks at the opening on 28 November from 6 – 8 pm.
