Rádio Amália (named after Fado Legend Amália Rodrigues) is most probably the radio you hear from the windows when you walk around Alfarma and Mouraria. If you click on the logo you can listen to the Portuguese Blues wherever you are.
I don’t know how the weather is in your part of the world.
But right now it’s raining cats and dogs. And according to my updated weather forecast it doesn’t looks like it’s going to change the nex 4-5 days. So if you are among the thousands of travelers who have cancelled your easter holiday and instead are isolated at home you have absolutely NO reason to feel sorry for yourself.
Instead use the occasion to create a Lisbon feel wherever you are. Buy a tin of sardines and a bottle of Portuguese Wine and pick one of Lisbon’s 139 online radio stations on radio.net and spread a Lisbon feel at home – or in your country house.
If you insist of feeling sorry for yourself – you can enhance the sadness by listening to Rádio Amália that generously shares saudade by playing Fado 24/7.
Personally I find the situation very sad and depressing.
I need things that cheer me up. Colorful flowers, good food, optimistic movies and radio with good vibes. So when I haven’t played my own music I have listened to Radio Radar and Radio Oxigenio – my two preferred Lisbon radio stations these days.
Enjoy
