… like listening to the best music podcast coming out of Portugal. Either if you decide to stay in bed OR if you cook, read, do your laundry or just sin.
But music is an important part of what we do – together with our art, colors, furnitures and our colorful garden it creates the ambiance we like.
A few years ago I stumbled on the name Anatoly Brooks on several occasions. All of them while browsing through my favorite source of entertainment: Internet Archive searching for interesting music.
The track that got me curious was a mix of one of Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen’s poems Meditação do Duque de Gandia and Scott Walker’s composition And who shall go to the ball? and what shall go to the ball (Pt3).
I am a big fan of Scott Walker – and after moving to Graca Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen’s somehow became a part of our life. Lisbon’s second best View point is named after her 🙂
I don’t know who Anatoly Brooks or Tony Justerini are.
But I know their more than all their podcasts – and that’s a lot. The first one was aired in 2007!
Not only do they have an excellent taste of music – the way they mix genres, old and new tracks, nationalities and most important the way they present it keeps inspiring me.
And during these Covid isolation days it nurture my spirit.
Enjoy Charity that was aired this Monday.
In 2021 we will open Tings Tea Lounge. So we spend these days working on ideas for the menu. And ideas for art & culture events. One of the music events that is high on our list is a live Rádio Etiópia Sunday Session in our garden.
Enjoy you isolation and stay safe
