Aah, Valentine’s Day. It comes around every February and makes singles feel more single and couples feel pressured to find new ways to say “I love you” so that they don’t get an earful. Here in Lisbon, we’re lucky that the city itself is a very romantic one, so we don’t have to go all out to make the 14th special.
However, if you want to do something extraordinary for your significant other, here are some things to do around town that should score love-y points. Or make you realize that you need to move on!
Lisbon may be one of the most romantic cities in Europe. So don’t panic if you wake up on 14 February and forgotten all about this tradition (we only remember it because we are in Silom in Bangkok that is PINK from plastic flowers, hearts in all shapes and sizes and all kinds of gadgets with sounds and lights).
Just bring a bottle of something fantastic – and maybe some cheese and bread – and head for one of Lisbon’s fantastic Miradouros facing West around 6 pm (sun sets at 6:12).

- And the insider: Atlas Lisboa rightly pick our Miradouro da Senhora do Monte as Lisbon’s most romantic. But on an occasion like Valentine’s we would suggest Miradouro de Monte Agudo – this hidden gem is perfect (and also in our hood).
